Project Description & Scope
The Hampton Inn & Suites is a five storey, 129 room hotel located on Stavanger Drive. It was constructed between the Boston Pizza Restaurant and the Allied Office Building. The facility has 123 parking spaces and required connection to existing City services. It has shared access points with both the Allied building and Boston Pizza.
Project Challenges
The site had a grade differential of approximately 5m along the full frontage of the building. The Client stipulated that the building floor elevation could not be stepped to adhere to the site’s natural slope. This required a unique site grading with retaining walls and lower parking areas in order to maintain functional sloping and grading of the entire site.
