Project Description & Scope
Pre-engineered metal building to support new search and rescue facility operated by Cougar Helicopters Inc. The building consists of a 17,000 sf hangar facility and 13,000 sf office administration area. The site work consists of access to the site with a staff parking area and construction of the helicopter apron that connects to the airport taxiway
Project Challenges
The grading requirements of the helicopter apron and connection to the taxiway were very stringent which resulted in strategical design of the buildings finished floor elevation to suit these requirements while at the same time controlling on-site drainage and providing a functional staff parking lot.
