Project Description & Scope
Located at the corner of the intersection of Stavanger Drive and Torbay Road, this shopping centre area offers 52,000 sf of retail store and restaurant facilities. The site required extensive mass cut and fill earthworks to achieve a level site.
Project Challenges
Due to the proximity of the site to the existing congested intersection of Torbay Road and Stavanger Drive, the access points to the site were limited. The design of the site required a right-in/right-out access off Torbay Road that could accommodate large tractor trailers for delivery to the box stores. The primary access to the site entailed a shared access with the neighbouring site that required reconstruction of that site.
