Project Description & Scope

The Diamond Marsh Residential Subdivision is located off Ruby Line in the City of St. John’s and consists of a 14 hectare residential land development. The subdivision consisted of 180 lots and was divided into three stages. The scope of work for this project consisted of lot grading and servicing, a floodplain analysis, sanitary sewage lift station, stream crossing and storm-water detention.

Project Challenges

Due to the proximity of the site to South Brook it was critical to ensure the floor elevations of the homes were set to an elevation that prevented flooding. In addition to the proximity to South Brook, a storm water detention analysis was undertaken to conform to the newly implemented net-zero storm-water runoff policy by the Municipality.
